Hans Hoffmann-Ybbs

Hans Hoffmann-Ybbs (born January 1, 1928 in Ybbs an der Donau , Lower Austria ; † August 30, 2005 in Grieskirchen ) was an Austrian painter.

Life

Hans Hoffmann-Ybbs was born in Ybbs on the Danube in 1928. From 1942 to 1947 he attended the Higher Graphic Federal Teaching and Research Institute in Vienna .

In 1962, together with Charlotte Buck , he founded the artist center in Parz Castle near Grieskirchen , where he lived and worked until his death in 2005 after it was closed in 1998.

Professor hc Hoffmann-Ybbs was the recipient of the Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art, First Class, as well as numerous prizes and awards. In 1991 he received the Upper Austrian Culture Prize for painting.

He was represented at exhibitions in Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Italy.
