Robert Kulawick (born February 1, 1986 in Berlin ) is a former German basketball player . He played a total of 299 games in the basketball league .

Career

Robert Kulawick initially played football. At the age of ten he started with the Marzahner Basket Bären with basketball before he switched to the youth of TuS Lichterfelde . For "TuSLi", the former cooperation partner of the Bundesliga club Alba Berlin , he completed his first appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2003/04 season, followed by short appearances in the Bundesliga for Alba in the 2004/05 season.

He left his hometown in 2006 and moved to Bundesliga club Eisbären Bremerhaven . The following stations were SSV Lok Bernau and the Den Helder Seals in the Netherlands. For the 2008/2009 season he moved back to the Bundesliga, to BG Göttingen , where he stood out as a three-shooter. After three years in Göttingen, Kulawick moved in 2011 within the Bundesliga to the New York Phantoms Braunschweig . He signed a two-year contract with an option for a third year. After his third year with Braunschweig, his contract was not extended. Kulawick then returned to the BG Göttingen, which had just returned to the top German league.

After the 2015/16 season he left the "Veilchen" and joined SSV Lok Bernau, which had just been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . He decided to move into the third division in order to continue his non-sports career in his hometown of Berlin. After the end of the 2018/19 season, he withdrew from competitive sports in order to devote himself to his profession as a teacher.
