Robert Lutschounig

Robert Lutschounig (born April 27, 1953 ) is an Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ). He was a member of the state parliament and was a regional councilor in Carinthia.

education and profession

After primary and secondary school, Lutschounig attended business school and agricultural college. He passed the agricultural master's examination and passed the hospitality license examination.

Lutschounig has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Raiffeisenlandesbank Kärnten since May 25, 2009.

politics

Lutschounig has been a local councilor in Maria Rain since 1980 and a member of the Chamber of Agriculture since 1991. In June 1992 he was elected ÖVP district party chairman of Klagenfurt-Land and entered the Carinthian state parliament on April 19, 1994. Between June 7, 1994 and April 8, 1999, Lutschounig was a member of the state government, before being sworn in again as a member of the state parliament on April 8, 1999. From March 21, 2004, Lutschounig was also the club's deputy chairman.

On March 6, 2004 in Klagenfurt, Lutschounig hit the chairman of VgT Martin Balluch in the face during a speech during a legal demonstration registered by the Association against Animal Factories (VgT) and tore up a critical banner. Lutschounig initially denied it, but later admitted the act in court and was sentenced to € 700 in damages and pain and suffering. In 2007, Lutschounig could not prevail in the election of the ÖVP club chairman, although three out of four members of the ÖVP state parliament had voted for Lutschounig. Instead, Stephan Tauschitz was elected as club chairman.

Private

Lutschounig is married and has two sons and a daughter. Lutschounig lives in Maria Rain.
