Robert Meibauer

Robert Meibauer (born November 27, 1833 in Nelep ; † April 9, 1897 in Berlin ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Meibauer was at the grammar school in Köslin from 1849 to 1853 and then studied law in Berlin for three years . During his studies he became a member of the Normannia Berlin fraternity in 1854 . From 1862 he was a lawyer and notary in Polzin . From 1871 he held the same position in Dramburg and from 1879 in Berlin. In Polzin and Dramburg he was also a city councilor or city councilor. As an officer he took part in the wars of 1866 and 1870/71 and was awarded the Order of the Crown with Swords , the Iron Cross and the First Class Landwehr Service Award.

From 1881 to 1887 he was a member of the German Reichstag, first for the German Progressive Party , then for the German Liberal Party .
