Robert Renfroe

Robert Cleveland Renfroe (born March 17, 1969 in Leoben ) is a former American - Austrian basketball player .

career

Renfroe played basketball at Georgia Southwestern State University  in the US college league NAIA before playing as a professional with the Basket Flyers in Vienna in the 1993/94 season . In the season of the game, the 2.10 meter tall indoor player was  also under contract with UBC St. Pölten in the Bundesliga.

In the 1996/97 season Renfroe was under contract first with the Belgian club Pepinster, then with the German Bundesliga club TVG Trier . In the following year he was in the service of another German first division club, USC Freiburg .

In the 1998/99 season he ran again for Trier, 1999/2000 Renfroe played in Greece (Larisa) and Iceland (Snaefell). He played the first half of the 2000/2001 season in the shirt of BK Klosterneuburg and moved to the Spanish second division team Tenerife in February 2001.

Renfroe played the last two years of his career as a professional basketball player in Greece: 2001/2002 with Aris Thessaloniki in the first division, 2002/03 with Dafni Athens in the second division.

National team

Renfroe was an Austrian team player and represented the colors of Austria, among other things, in the European Championship qualification.
