Robert Roesler
August Josef Robert Roesler (* July 22, 1837 , † November 18, 1896 , sometimes Roessler ) was a German-Swedish photographer . According to the Nordiska museet , his country of birth was Poland .
Ernst Roesler (1832-1919) was his brother. They ran a photo studio together in Stockholm for eight years . The former later opened his own under the name Robert Roesler. They made the popular cartes-de-visite in the 1860s .
In the years 1871/72 Carl Larsson worked in her studio and retouched .
In 1895 the brothers co-founded the Svenska Photography Förbund .
For August Roesler, the Nordiska museet shows a period in Stockholm from 1878 until the year of his death. From 1888 with three branches, the locations of which changed.
In 1873 he married a woman named Maria Kumpfmüller (born March 17, 1853), daughter of the Munich brewer Josef Kumpfmüller. They had two children, Ernst and Maria. The couple worked in the Stockholm Catholic community and helped found the Concordia Catholica association in 1895.
