Robert Tanner (born June 7, 1936 in Winterthur ) is a Swiss architect who made a name for himself in the field of modern Catholic church construction in Switzerland.

life and work

Robert Tanner studied architecture at the Technikum Winterthur , where he graduated from HTL in 1958 with a diploma as an architect. In 1961, together with Felix Loetscher , he founded the architecture office Tanner und Loetscher , based in Winterthur. Between 1961 and 1991 Robert Tanner and Felix Loetscher took part in 134 public architecture competitions; They received 95 prizes, 32 of which were first prizes with subsequent implementation of their projects. In 1973 Robert Tanner was accepted into the BSA .
