Felix Loetscher (born May 14, 1934 in Winterthur ) is a Swiss architect who made a name for himself in the field of modern Catholic church construction in Switzerland.

life and work

Felix Loetscher first completed an apprenticeship as a draftsman . He then studied architecture at the Technikum Winterthur , which he graduated with a diploma in 1958. A study trip to Finland followed from 1959 to 1960 in East Africa as an architect in development cooperation . In 1961, together with Robert Tanner , he founded the architecture office Tanner und Loetscher , based in Winterthur. Between 1961 and 1991 Felix Loetscher and Robert Tanner took part in 134 public architecture competitions; They received 95 prizes, 32 of which were first prizes with subsequent implementation of their projects. 1973 Felix Loetscher was accepted into the BSA .

Buildings (selection)

Felix Loetscher's architectural work focused on the construction of churches, banks, old people's homes, schools as well as residential and commercial buildings.
