Robert Valley

Robert Valley (* 1969 in Vancouver ) is a Canadian animator and film director who was nominated for an Oscar .

Career

Robert Valley was born in Vancouver in 1969, grew up there and attended Emily Carr College.

Valley's career began in the 1990s when he was responsible for the storyboard for the television series Æon Flux, for example . For the cartoon series TRON: The uprising , he was responsible as a character designer. For his animations and his involvement in directing the animated short film Pear Cider and Cigarettes , Valley received a nomination in the category Best Animated Short at the 2017 Academy Awards . However, the award went to Alan Barillaro and Marc Sondheimer for their contribution to Piper .
