TRON: Uprising (Original title: TRON: Uprising ) is an American science fiction - animated series from 2012, which on the two movies Tron and Tron: Legacy based.

prehistory

TRON: The insurrection takes place between the events of Tron and Tron: Legacy . After Flynn could leave the Encom mainframe, he began a new, digital world to create the grid (English: grid ). As seen in flashbacks in Tron: Legacy , he created a program called Clu that looked just like him and, as his stand-in, was supposed to create the perfect world while fulfilling his real-world commitments. A program called Tron was supposed to ensure the security of all programs within the grid. Clu, however, saw Flynn as a user (English: User ) as imperfect and eventually turned against him. Tron saved Flynn from Clu, but was seriously injured. Since then, Clu has tried to conquer the grid and make himself the sole ruler.

action

The plot of TRON: The uprising begins with Clu occupying the city of Argon with the help of his subordinate General Tesler . Programs that defend themselves are captured or deleted immediately ( disintegrated , de-rezzed from deresolved , i.e. actually dissolved ). The mechanic Beck is one of the few programs that oppose this military occupation . Beck meets Tron, who has retired since Clu's betrayal. Tron believes he has found a successor in Beck and begins to train him.

Beck repeatedly confronts General Tesler and his henchmen Paige and Pavel in the course of the series.
