Joseph "Joe" Trapanese (* 1984 in New Jersey ) is an American producer and composer of music for films, television series and plays.

Life

Joseph Trapanese was born in New Jersey in 1984 . For the action film The Bannen Way by Jesse Warren , which was released in theaters in 2010, Trapanese composed the music for a feature film for the first time. Also in 2010 he composed the soundtrack for the film Tron: Legacy by Joseph Kosinski and worked for this with the French house duo Daft Punk . The album was released on December 6, 2010 on Walt Disney Records. With Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park , Trapanese created the score for the 2011 Indonesian martial arts film The Raid "and three years later for its sequel The Raid 2. In the meantime, he worked with M83 on the arrangements for their album Hurry Up , We're Dreaming and on the music for the 2013 science fiction film Oblivion .

Together with Dia Frampton , Trapanese founded the duo Archis, whose first recording they released in February 2015. On February 18, 2016, Trapanese was recognized for the music for the film Straight Outta Compton as part of the Black Reel Awards for Best Film Music . In 2017 he composed the music for the film No Way Out - Against the Flames and, together with the singer-songwriter Jon Randall, the song Hold the Light sung by Dierks Bentley . The film Greatest Showman , for which Trapanese is composing the score with John Debney , was released in American cinemas in December 2017.

Trapanese has also composed and produced music for a number of theater productions, most of which were made in New York City , such as The Cocktail Party by TS Eliot , Incident at Vichy by Arthur Miller and The Sea by Edward Bond .
