Tricia Helfer
Tricia Helfer (born April 11, 1974 in Donalda , Alberta ) is a Canadian mannequin , model and actress , best known for her role as Cylon "number six" in the television series Battlestar Galactica .
Life
Tricia Helfer is of German, English, Swedish and Norwegian descent and has one younger and two older sisters.
At the age of 17 she was discovered by a talent scout from the fashion industry in the queue of visitors in front of a cinema in her hometown. In 1992 she won the Ford Supermodel of the World Contest in Los Angeles and started a career as a mannequin and photo model. Helfer appeared in magazines such as Elle , Vogue and Cosmopolitan, and on the catwalk wore designs from fashion companies such as Ralph Lauren , Chanel , Giorgio Armani , Versace , Dolce & Gabbana , Victoria's Secret and Christian Dior . She also worked as a presenter for a Canadian TV fashion magazine.
1999 Helfer made her debut as an actress in an episode of the television series Roswell . In 2002 she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a film career. Helfer has been married to lawyer Jonathan Marshall since 2003. She appeared in episodes of the series Jeremiah - Warriors of Thunder , Supernatural and CSI: Vegas .
Helfer had her breakthrough as an actress in 2003 as Cylon "Number Six", one of the leading roles in the science fiction series Battlestar Galactica .
From May 2006 she was the producer and presenter of the talent show Canada's Next Top Model in her home country . After the successful first season, she gave up the task in order to devote herself more to her acting career. In the 2007 computer game Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars , she played the role of "General Kilian Qatar", and a year later she voiced the Marvel heroine Black Cat in the video game Spider-Man: Web of Shadows . In the computer game Mass Effect 2 and its successor Mass Effect 3 , published in 2010 , she lent the artificial intelligence "EDI" her voice, in StarCraft II she takes on the speaking role for Sarah Kerrigan.
In the thriller Walk All Over Me - Love, Latex, Ransom (2007) she appeared alongside Leelee Sobieski . After Battlestar Galactica ended , Helfer made guest appearances on various television series. In 2008 and 2009, for example, Burn Notice appeared as an opponent of the main character in several episodes of the television series Burn Notice . In 2010 Helfer played an FBI agent in the series Dark Blue . In Lucifer she played in 35 episodes from 2016 to 2018 the mother of the eponymous devil, who takes a vacation from hell on earth.
