Robert Venäläinen (born March 18, 1969 in Västerås ) is a former Swedish handball player .
Career
Robert Venäläinen played almost his entire career for the Swedish club Irsta HF . It was not until 1999 that the 1.72 m tall right wing player switched to GF Kroppskultur . A year later he went to IF Guif , which he also left a year later for the second division Sala HF . With Sala he reached the qualifier for the Elitserien . He then returned to Eskilstuna .
With the Swedish national team Robert Venäläinen won the bronze medal at the 1993 World Cup . Between 1988 and 1995 he played 65 international matches in which he scored 116 goals.
