Robert Weber (Germanist)
Robert Weber (born August 5, 1824 in Rapperswil , † December 7, 1896 in Basel ) was a Swiss Germanist , journalist and publicist. To this day he is known u. a. as editor of classic anthologies and Goethe editions.
Live and act
Weber studied theology, philology, history and philosophy at the universities of Zurich , Tübingen , Halle and Göttingen . As a student he joined the Swiss Zofingerverein .
