Robert Wyard

Robert Wyard , also Robert Vuyard (born April 17, 1638 in Étaples near Boulogne-sur-Mer , † May 23, 1714 in the Abbey of Saint-Valery-sur-Mer ) was a French Benedictine who wrote the history of many Benedictine monasteries .

At the age of 19 he was accepted into the Benedictine order and made his profession on September 16, 1658 in the Abbey of Saint Rémi in Reims . He then worked in various monasteries, where he often recorded the history of the monastery.
