Roberto Mario Cossa (born November 30, 1934 in Buenos Aires ), also called Tito Cossa , is an Argentine writer , playwright and journalist .

Life

He began his theater career as an actor and puppeteer before beginning to write plays for puppet theater and scripts for film and television. His plays have been successfully performed all over Latin America and have received numerous awards. Initially, Cossa was one of the representatives of the independent Argentine theater and stood for a direction that was also known as Nuevo Realismo or social realism. In 1981 he was also a co-founder of the resulting movement, the Teatro Abierto .

He is known for the script for the award-winning film Tute Cabrera (1968) and for the 1976 play La Nona (German Oma eats ), which has also been successfully staged in Europe and the USA .
