Roberto Finzi

Roberto Finzi (born February 11, 1941 in Sansepolcro ) is an Italian historian.

Life

Roberto Finzi studied philosophy at the University of Bologna and received the Laurea in 1964 for a thesis on Adam Smith with Felice Battaglia .

Finzi became professor of economic history at the University of Trieste and the University of Bologna. Finzi published on the development of economics in the 18th century, on agricultural history , on climate history and on the history of socialism . His 1997 study L'università italiana e le leggi antiebraiche was the first on the effects of the fascist racial laws on Italian universities.
