As auxiliary bishop he worked in the diocese of Cammin , in the diocese of Havelberg and from 1499 in the diocese of Warmia , where he also received the parish in Kiwitten .

Life

Johann Wilde was a member of the order of the Augustinian hermits . After Konrad Eubel he became titular bishop of Symbalon in March 1495 . But he was installed as auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Cammin by a document dated March 20, 1494 . Camminer diocesan bishop was Benedikt von Waldstein until his resignation in 1498 . Johann Wilde also worked under his successor Martin Karith ; on July 15, 1499 he consecrated the newly built parish church in Zägensdorf near Reetz Nm. At the same time, Johann Wilde was active as auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Havelberg .

In 1499 he moved to the Diocese of Warmia , which was the first to have an auxiliary bishop. From Bishop Lucas Watzenrode he was assigned the parish in Kiwitten , a village near Heilsberg , where he took his seat.

Bishop Lucas Watzelrode made frequent use of Johann Wilde's services. On November 29, 1499, he instructed him to settle a dispute that had broken out between the pastors of Juchy and Calinowo over the village of Clesczewo; He announced his verdict on this matter on January 28, 1500 after hearing a witness in the parish apartment in Lyck . On order, he consecrated the church in Schönbrück on April 2, 1500 , the church in Alt Schöneberg near Allenstein on May 1, 1500 and the parish church in Frauenburg on June 21, 1507 .

On June 9, 1502, Lucas Watzelrode prescribed him the usufruct of the village of Prossitten for life.

Lucas Watzelrode entrusted him with the establishment of the Antoniterkloster near Frauenburg. He also made use of his help when he consecrated Bishop Job of Pomesanien in Königsberg Cathedral on October 16, 1502, and when he consecrated his friend Johann von Konopat Bishop of Kulm in the church of the Minorite Monastery near Löbau on October 28, 1509 . According to historical news, Johann Wilde consecrated the Warmia bishop Fabian von Lossainen himself in the church of Heilsberg.

Johann Wilde died in Kiwitten on December 17, 1532 at the old age of 94; as a memorial stone in the church of Kiwitten showed, he was buried there too.
