Robin Lucien Ammerlaan (born February 26, 1968 in The Hague ) is a Dutch wheelchair tennis player .
Career
He was not dependent on a wheelchair from birth; it was only in his late youth that he had more and more problems walking due to spina bifida . He has been playing wheelchair tennis on a professional level since 1998. In 2002 he rose to number one in the world rankings for the first time. He did the same in doubles in 2004. Finally, he became world champion at the end of 2006 (the leader in the rankings at the end of the year automatically receives this title).

- Multiple winner of tournaments of the wheelchair tennis tour: z. B. Flanders Open 8x, Amsterdam Open , Wheelchair International Sydney and Tjechie Open 5x each.
