Robin Llwyd from Owain introduces himself

Robin Llwyd from Owain (born June 1958 ) is the son of Owain Owain . In 1991 he won the “Chair” (first prize) at the “National Eisteddfod” Wales in Mold, North Wales for a poem in the Welsh language Merch Ein Amserau (“Girls of Our Time”). In December 1996 he became the first Welsh writer to publish his poems on the Internet: Rhedeg ar Wydr (" Walking on Glass").

He lives in Ruthin , is married and has two children. From 1990 to 1991 he was mayor of Ruthin. His poems have been performed on television by actor Rhys Ifans .

Robin Llwyd has written well-known songs including many that have been interpreted by Bryn Terfel , e.g. B. “Brenin y Ser” (King of the Stars). Also Rhys Meirion has recorded many songs for. B. “Pedair Oed” (four years old).
