Robin Trower (1975)

Robin Trower (born March 9, 1945 in Catford, now the London Borough of Lewisham , United Kingdom ) is an English guitarist and rock musician.

Life and work

He became known through the band The Paramounts and from 1967 with Procol Harum . He left the group in 1971, founded the group Jude in 1972 with Frankie Miller , Clive Bunker and James Dewar , which however remained unsuccessful. In 1973, Robin Trower founded a band under his name, which musically modeled on the guitar sound of Jimi Hendrix and later developed it further. The first three albums were produced by Matthew Fisher . Trower's albums were very successful in the United States by 1981 .

From 1980 Trower worked with changing musicians, including Jack Bruce . He participated in the 1991 reunion of Procol Harum and appeared on the album The Prodigal Stranger . Following that, he focused again on his solo career.

On his 60th birthday, Robin Trower gave a concert in Bonn, which was recorded by WDR and published on DVD and CD .
