Frankie Miller (rock musician)
Frankie Miller (* 2 November 1949 in Bridgeton, Glasgow , Scotland , as Francis John Miller ) is an English singer and guitarist .
biography
Frankie Miller is a Scottish soul-blues-rock singer who founded the group Jude in 1972 together with Robin Trower ( Procol Harum ), Clive Bunker ( Jethro Tull ) and James Dewar ( Stone the Crows ), which did not do more than a few concerts gave in England and then dissolved. In 1974 Miller sang the song Still in Love with You on the Thin-Lizzy- LP Nightlife in a duet with Phil Lynott .
Solo he had several hits in the late 1970s and early 1980s, but never made the big break. His biggest success was Darlin ' (1978), which reached a top 10 placement in many countries.
In August 1994 Miller suffered a cerebral haemorrhage and was hospitalized for several months. After a long recovery period he wrote the song Sun Goes Up Sun Goes Down in 2003 with Will Jennings . Before his illness he made recordings with Joe Walsh and Nicky Hopkins , which were released in 2006 under the title Long Way Home .
