particularities | second highest point in Brittany |
The Roc'h Trévezel is at 384 m the second highest point in Brittany . Like the one meter higher Roc'h Ruz, it belongs to the ridge of the Monts d'Arrée .
On its summit there is not only remarkable rock formations (granite), but also a panoramic view of the Finistère department - in the north almost to the coast behind Morlaix , in the south-west you can see the Ménez-Hom and in the south-east you can see the woodland around Huelgoat .
Despite the relatively low altitude, only a few frugal grasses, heather and gorse thrive on Roc'h Trévezel because of the salty winds from the coast.
In addition, the Roc'h Trévezel is the highest point of the Paris – Brest – Paris (Brevet) cycling event.
