Roca Redonda (German: "Round Rock") is a remote rocky island in the Galápagos Archipelago . It is located 25 kilometers northwest of Isabela , the largest island in the archipelago. The elongated rock has a length of 308 meters in a southwest-northeast direction and a width of 136 meters. It covers an area of ​​about 3  hectares (0.03 km²). Roca Redonda represents the summit of an underwater shield volcano and rises vertically up to 70 meters from the ocean. The island has a striking, table mountain- like plateau.

Roca Redonda is an important breeding area for sea ​​birds . Besides in the whole archipelago endemic birds endemic only on this island comes here Galapagos Petrel ( oceanicus tethys ) before which the family of the petrels belongs.

Roca Redonda continues to be a popular destination for diving tourists .
