Rockne S. O'Bannon
Rockne S. O'Bannon (born January 12, 1955 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American author , film producer and film director . He began his career in 1985 as a film editor for Twilight Zone . Shortly thereafter, he wrote the episode Life on Death Row for Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories . The big coup came in 1987 when he sold his screenplay for the later box office hit Alien Nation - Spacecop LA in 1991 . The complexity of the Alien Nation universe is evidenced by the continuation of the film through a television series, several television films, as well as books and comic series. He was also instrumental in the development of the seaQuest DSV , Farscape and Defiance television series . In 1990, he was with the film Agony ( Fear his directorial debut). In 1994 he directed a second film with Attack the Killer Bees .
