Rocky Mark Lynch (born November 1, 1994 in Littleton , Colorado ) is an American singer , guitarist and actor , best known for his band R5 , in which he was a member from 2010 to 2018.

Career

Musician

Rocky Lynch is one of the founding members of the band R5 , which he formed with his siblings and a friend named Ellington Ratliff . Rocky mainly took on the lead guitar part. The band released their first EP on March 9, 2010, entitled Ready Set Rock . In April 2012, the band announced that they had signed a record deal with Hollywood Records . On February 19, 2013, R5 released their second EP called Loud . In the following years more albums followed until the band decided to take a break in 2018. After that, Rocky and his brother Ross formed a new band called The Driver Era . They released their debut single "Preacher Man" in March 2018. This was followed by four more songs. Including "LOW", a song that Rocky wrote, produced and sang all by himself. In June 2019 the brothers will release their first album "X".

Lynch made his acting debut in 2009 when he appeared as himself on an episode of the show "So You Think You Can Dance". In addition, Lynch applied for the role of Austin Moon in the Disney series Austin and Ally in 2010 , which he lost to his younger brother Ross Lynch . In the same year he was seen in the short film "NASA: Exploration Space - Explorers Wanted".
