Rodney "Rod" Pampling (born September 23, 1969 in Redcliffe , Queensland ) is an Australian professional golfer .

He became a professional golfer in 1994 and began his career on the PGA Tour of Australasia , where Pampling won his first tournament in 1999. In the 2000 and 2001 seasons he played on the second ranked North American Buy.com Tour and qualified for the PGA TOUR . In 2004 he celebrated his first tournament victory there at The International and in 2006 he won his second title at the Bay Hill Invitational .

Pampling will continue to play at some of the PGA Tour of Australasia events during the Australian summer. In the golf world rankings , he is mostly in the top 50, which guarantees him invitations to major tournaments.

He is married to his wife, Angela, a psychologist , and resides in Flower Mound , Texas .
