Rodder is part of the Niederzissen community in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Ahrweiler .

The place Rodder, formerly a part of the local community Niederdürenbach , was incorporated into the community Niederzissen on January 1, 1979. 145 inhabitants live in the Rodder district.

Since a chapel in Rodder was mentioned in a document as early as 1428 , it can be assumed that the place was already settled at that time. There is no more precise information about the time of the first settlement.

In 2009, the Rodder district took second place in the “ Our village has a future ” competition organized by the Ahrweiler district .
