Rodney Williams

Sir Rodney Errey Lawrence Williams GCMG (born November 2, 1947 in Swetes , Antigua ) is an Antiguan physician, politician and acting Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda .

William is the son of former MP Ernest Emmanuel Williams. In 1976 he completed his medical studies at the University of the West Indies in Mona and held various ministerial posts from 1986 to 2004.

On August 14, 2014, Williams succeeded Louise Lake-Tack as Governor General. On August 30, 2014, Elizabeth II made him Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St Michael and St George (GCMG).
