Rodrigo Plá (2008)

Rodrigo Plá (born June 9, 1968 in Montevideo , Uruguay ) is a Uruguayan director .

Plá was born in Montevideo, but has lived in Mexico City since he was eleven and studied screenwriting and directing at the local film school. His best-known work is the film La zona . At the 64th Venice International Film Festival in 2007 he won the award for the best first work. At the Berlinale 2012 , Plá will present his film La demora in the Forum section. The film Un monstruo de mil cabezas was awarded the Golden Tulip at the International Istanbul Film Festival 2016.
