Rodrigo Vásquez

Rodrigo Rafael Vásquez Schröder (born December 6, 1969 in Chile ) is a Chilean chess player . He is the grandson of the Chilean chess master Ruperto Schroeder .

He won the Chilean championship five times: 1989, 1992, 2004, 2009 and 2014. He played for Chile in seven Chess Olympiads : 1990 , 1998 , 2004 , 2010 to 2016 .

At the 2005 World Chess Cup he was eliminated in the first round against Yevgeny Bareev .

In 1993 he became International Master , since 2004 he has held the title of Grand Master .
