architecture

The Brandts Villa was built as a conglomerate of individual structures on an irregular floor plan . Above a plinth in Anröchter green sandstone , the plastered facades of the two- to three-storey building are emphasized by dividing and decorative elements made of red sandstone in the transitional forms from late Gothic to Renaissance . Asymmetry and irregularity of the external design, varied bay windows and gables on all sides of the building as well as high pitched roofs emphasize the picturesque aspect and the plasticity of the house.
