action

Matthias Pretschke is a speech therapist, married and has two children. The marriage with his wife Petra threatens to fall apart. His twin brother Tom Senger appears unexpectedly and is immediately mistaken for her husband by Petra. The two twin brothers use the situation to help each other by temporarily slipping into the role of the other. Tom, who is an actor by profession, takes pleasure in his new role, and Petra discovers new aspects of "her husband". Matthias, on the other hand, has to deal with his disappointed acting colleague and ex-girlfriend Pola “as Tom”. Ultimately, Matthias’s married and family life as well as Tom’s professional and private situation receive new momentum.

criticism

"Between slightly jammed and loose-flaky, Herbst plays out all sorts of facets of his comedic talent without falling into his foreign embarrassment 'Stromberg'."

“The actor Christoph Maria Herbst can do the Stromberg best. Now he is taking on two roles in a comedy of confusion and is also allowed to show a little Loriot. This is funny."

“(...) That has puns and comic situations. Timing and dialogue are also right. And while you are still laughing - because you actually laugh and feel well entertained - the mills of moralizing problem solving are already grinding in the background. The playful walk through the cabinet of mirrors reaches its dramaturgical limit. "

“The fact that an enjoyable event is taking place under the direction of Isabelle Kleefeld, who recently presented a tormenting, educational dementia film with His good rights , is mainly thanks to two things: Christoph Maria Herbst, brilliantly in his double role, who effortlessly wears a suit with glasses tattooed professional youth. And an ensemble that routinely implements the language-playful dialogues that rely entirely on timing, without falling into comedy fuss. It doesn't take more for a pleasing performance that has its best moments when it looks at small, absurd everyday occurrences. "
