Roger Beuchat (born January 2, 1972 in Court ) is a former Swiss cyclist .

Athletic career

Roger Beuchat began his cycling career in 1998 with the Post Swiss team .

In 2000 he won a stage each in the Tour du Poitou-Charentes and in the Hesse Tour . He then switched to the Swiss cycling team Phonak . In his first year there, he won the two one-day races GP de Geneve and Tour du Jura as well as the mountain classification at the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour . After one year at Vini Caldirola and one year at Barloworld , he moved to the Professional Continental Team L.PR in 2006 . In 2006 he finished third at the Giro del Lago Maggiore . In the 2009 season he drove for the Continental Team Neotel-CKT .

With the Tour de Korea he won a stage race for the first time in his career and won the Tour du Jura in his home canton for the second time since 2001 . Overall, he took part in the UCI road world championships five times and was twice - in 2002 and 2003 - Swiss runner-up in road races.
