Roger Carel (* 14. August 1927 in Paris , France as Roger Bancharel ) is a French actor and voice actor .

Life

Carel was born on August 14, 1927 to a housewife and a CMP official. He is an ordained priest and studied at the St. Nicholas Institution. After he left the seminar, he began training as an engineer, but he dropped out. An audition with his aunt brought him to the theater. Carel was engaged in the theater from the late 1940s before he started with cinema, theater and radio series as well as cabaret in the 1950s. He also starred in numerous successful films, plays and television series. From 2010 he largely withdrew and was replaced in some of his roles, for example Winnie the Pooh or C-3PO , by Jean-Claude Donda. In January 2012 Carel received the Henri Langloisp Prize for Lifetime Achievement. In October 2013, Carel announced on Europe 1 that he was finally retiring. As early as 1986 he wrote his autobiography J'avoue que j'ai bien ri ("I admit, I laughed a lot").
