Roger Auguste Dumas (born December 31, 1897 in Salindres , Gard department , France , † June 15, 1951 in Paris ) was a French composer .

biography

Roger Auguste Dumas studied at the Conservatoire de musique, danse et art dramatique in Nîmes and then at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse (CNSMD) in Paris. With Flouette was in Toulon his first premiered opera composed by him on 3 September 1924th Four more operas were to follow by 1949: Ignace , Danseur de casino , Chasseurs d'images and Oscar . In 1930 Dumas made his debut as a film composer with his music for Cendrillon de Paris .
