Bengt Roger Christian Jönsson (born May 13, 1973 in Karlskrona ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player and current - functional .

Career

Roger Jönsson began his career as an ice hockey player in Division 1 , in which he played for IK Pantern, Mörrum GoIS IF and IF Troja Ljungby from 1993 to 1997 . Before the 1997/98 season, the attacker received a contract with VIK Västerås HK from the Elitserien , the highest Swedish ice hockey league . After three years, Jönsson left the first division to play for Rögle BK from the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan . There followed from 2001 to 2004 one season each with Mörrum GoIS, IK Nyköpings NH 90 and AIK Solna , before the Swede was signed by the Brûleurs de Loups de Grenoble from the French Ligue Magnus before the 2004/05 season .

With Grenoble, for which Jönsson played for three years, the center won the double of championship and coupe de la Ligue in 2007 . For the 2007/08 season Jönsson finally returned to his Swedish homeland, where he received a contract with the second division club Huddinge IK . On January 29, 2009, the player finally moved to the third division Olofström IK . For this, Jönsson completed only one game until the end of the 2008/09 season before ending his playing career. In the same season, the Swede was installed as General Manager at Olofströms IK. He held this position until calendar year 2011, before Jönsson was hired by IK Oskarshamn in the same position.
