The Rogers Glacier is a glacier on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It flows into the Amery Ice Shelf just north of the McKaskle Hills .
The American geographer John Hobbie Roscoe (1919-2007) mapped it in 1952 using aerial photographs of Operation Highjump (1946-1947). He named it after Lieutenant Commander William J. Rogers Jr. (1920-2001), chief of operations during reconnaissance flights during Operation Highjump to create aerial photographs between 14 ° and 164 ° east longitude.
