Rokyty ( Ukrainian Рокити ; Russian Рокиты Rokity ) is a village in the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with about 400 inhabitants (2001).
The village has existed since the 18th century, in 1922 it was renamed Shovtnewe (Ukrainian Жовтневе ; Russian Жовтневое Shovtnewoje ), and in the course of decommunization in Ukraine , the place was renamed back to its old name Rokyty on May 19, 2016 .
Rokyty is the administrative center of the same District community in Rayon Semenivka to the still villages Nowa Petriwka ( Нова Петрівка , ⊙ ) with about 180 inhabitants, Kalynivka ( Калинівка , ⊙ ) with about 150 inhabitants and Ossokory ( Осокори , ⊙ ) with about 40 Residents belong.
The place is 22 km northwest of the Semenivka district center and about 140 km west of the Poltava oblast center .
