Roland Adelmann

Roland Adelmann (born July 14, 1970 in Viersen ) is a German doctor, politician and former member of the SPD in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

biography

Roland Adelmann attended school in Wiehl and studied medicine at the University of Cologne , where he was awarded a Dr. med. PhD. He has been working in the pediatric field at the Cologne University Clinic since 2007 . Since January 1, 2016, he has been the chief physician of the children's clinic at the Gummersbach district hospital . He worked there from 1997.

politics

Adelmann has been involved in the SPD since 1987. In his first years in the party he was chairman of the Jusos Wiehl and the district association of the Jusos. From 2009 to 2014 he was a competent citizen in the environmental committee of the Oberbergischer Kreis , since then he has been a member of the district council. In 2011 he was elected deputy chairman of the SPD district association. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 , he won a direct mandate in the state electoral district of Oberbergischer Kreis II and was thus able to prevail against Bodo Löttgen from the CDU . Since his work as head physician was incompatible with the mandate of the state parliament, he left the state parliament on December 31, 2015. Angela Tillmann moved up for him . He is still deputy chairman of the SPD district association and retains his mandate in the district council.
