Roland Goethe (* 1959 ; resident in Schiers and Grüsch ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP )

The trained toolmaker is the managing director of Goethe AG in Glarus . Goethe was elected as the new President of Swissmechanic Switzerland on October 25, 2014 at the delegates' meeting in Lugano . At the delegates' meeting on October 27, 2018 in Schaffhausen, Goethe was confirmed in office for another four years.

Roland Goethe has been a member of the District Administrator of the Canton of Glarus since May 31, 2012 . He is married, has two grown sons and lives in Glarus.
