Roland Grip

Roland Grip (born January 1, 1941 in Föllinge ) is a former Swedish football player and coach.

career

Grip played for Bräcke SK in his youth . In 1962 the defender moved to IFK Östersund in the third division. After two seasons he joined AIK Solna in the Allsvenskan in 1964 . For the club he played 106 first division games until 1970. He got three goals. In 1971 he signed with the second division club IK Sirius . With the club he was promoted to the Allsvenskan in 1972, but after two seasons you had to relegate again. Here he played 50 first division games and scored five goals. In 1976 he ended his career at SK Iron . 1980 to 1982 he took over the coaching position at the club.

Grip was a Swedish international . He played 55 times for the national team and took part in the 1970 and 1974 World Championships .
