Roland Gutsch (engineer)

Roland W. Gutsch (born November 3, 1925 in Karlsruhe , † February 20, 2009 in Bremen ) was a German engineer.

Life

Roland Gutsch, engineer at Dornier on Lake Constance, founded what was then INTERNET in 1965, a platform for project management, from which today's IPMA International Project Management Association emerged . In 1979 he was the initiator of the founding of the GPM German Society for Project Management eV He was among other things President of the 6th International World Congress for Project Management in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

He was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his commitment to project management. He was honorary chairman of the GPM. He is the namesake of the Roland Gutsch Project Management Award.
