Roland Irmann

Roland Irmann (born August 30, 1891 in Breslau ; † 1973 ) was a German metallurgist .

Life

Roland Irmann studied metallurgy at RWTH Aachen University and the Technical University of Wroclaw . In 1910 he became a member of the Corps Marko-Guestphalia Aachen . In 1915 he became a Dr.-Ing. PhD. After completing his habilitation , he began his industrial activity in Neuhausen am Rheinfall . As an employee of Aluminum Industrie Aktien Gesellschaft, he worked on the production, improvement and processing of aluminum materials. Together with Alfred von Zeerleder , he developed the sintered aluminum powder materials .

Irmann was a member of the Swiss Association of Engineers and Architects . He last lived in Riehen until his death in 1973 .
