Roland Koch (writer)

Roland E. Koch (born November 2, 1959 in Hagen ) is a German writer and literary scholar .

Life

Koch, recently also Roland E. Koch for better differentiation, studied literature at the University of Siegen and in Houston / Texas and did his doctorate on Heimito von Doderer . He has lived in Cologne since 1986 , and has been a freelance writer since 1991. In 1998/99 and 2001 he had lectureships at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig . In the 2004/05 winter semester he taught creative writing at the University of Hildesheim , and since 2008 at the University of Siegen.

In his novel Things I Know About Him from 2011, he described the life of Cardinal Clemens August Graf von Galen from the narrative point of view of his fictional housekeeper.
