Roland Leutwiler

Roland Leutwiler (* 1962 ) is a Swiss finance manager, entrepreneur and sports official.

Life

Leutwiler grew up in Erlenbach in the canton of Zurich . He completed a banking apprenticeship at the Schweizerische Kreditanstalt , later Credit Suisse .

In his youth, Leutwiler was a member of the Swiss national ski team and trained with Pirmin Zurbriggen , Joël Gaspoz and Max Julen . Due to a serious hip injury shortly before his first World Cup race , he had to end his sports career.

Leutwiler later completed an MBA program at Credit Suisse and worked for the bank in Hong Kong , London and New York . He later switched to a Swiss asset management company as a partner, founded his own consulting company and was appointed to the boards of various companies.

Leutwiler lives in Herrliberg and is the father of three children.

Sports official

Leutwiler joined the Thursday Club in 2005 , a supporter association of the Grasshopper Club Zurich football club . In 2011 he became president of the new supporter association Owners Club , which took over the majority of shares in the association. In April 2011 Leutwiler became President of the GCZ. He had previously stated that he would only take over the presidency of the club and the Owners Club temporarily to consolidate the club. Leutwiler remained the club's president until 2012.
