Roland Peters (born September 17, 1951 in Rostock , German Democratic Republic ; † November 24, 2018 ) was a German ice hockey player and a member of the Hall of Fame of the German Ice Hockey Museum . Dietmar Peters is his older brother.

Career

Roland Peters only played for the SC Empor Rostock team from 1968 to 1970 , before moving to SC Dynamo in Berlin in 1970 . He played in Berlin until 1988 and won the GDR championship title several times with Dynamo. He then moved to Herford and played for Herford EG from 1990 to 1994. He then worked in various functions in the club.

He played internationally for the GDR national ice hockey team and took part in the ice hockey world championships from 1971 to 1987 .

Peters passed away in November 2018 at the age of 67.
