Roland Ströbele

Roland Ströbele (born August 14, 1943 in Stuttgart ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Ströbele completed the state examination with the second best exam. The then mayor of Spaichingen , Erwin Teufel , became aware of him and brought him to his community. There Ströbele was appointed head of the local municipal utility. He later headed the main office there and became city treasurer. In 1977 he was elected mayor of Fridingen an der Donau and remained so until 1994. In 1980 he also took over this position in Bärenthal . From 1984 to 1996 Ströbele was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . He won his first mandate three times in the constituency of Tuttlingen-Donaueschingen . Ströbele retired in 2011 and has been an honorary citizen of Bärenthal ever since.
