Roland Zellot

Roland Zellot (born February 22, 1955 in Villach ) is an Austrian federal civil servant, farmer and politician ( FPK , formerly FPÖ or BZÖ ). Zellot was a member of the National Council and a member of the Federal Council and until April 2018 a member of the Carinthian state parliament .

education and profession

Zellot attended primary and secondary school in Villach from 1962 to 1970 and then learned the profession of gas, water and heating fitter by 1973, where he attended vocational school II. In 1974 he did military service.

From 1970 to 1974, Zellot worked as a gas, water and heating fitter at the Hechenleiterner company in Villach and has been a part-time farmer since 1978. Zellot completed his training as a non-commissioned officer and has been an officer in the army administration since 1981.

politics

Zellot was a local councilor in Villach from 1991 to 1999 and represented the FPÖ in the National Council from October 29, 1999 to December 19, 2002. In 1999, Zellot named the areas of agriculture, the environment, national defense and social affairs as the focus of his parliamentary activities . Between March 31, 2004 and June 28, 2005 he was a member of the Federal Council. Zellot has been a councilor of the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry in Carinthia since 1994 and was its vice-president from 1999 and 2001.

From June 29, 2005 to March 28, 2013, Zellot was a member of the Carinthian state parliament and changed from 2005 to 2009 in the course of the split of the FPÖ to the BZÖ. On December 16, 2009, the Carinthian BZÖ split from the Federal BZÖ and, as the FPK, entered into a close cooperation with the FPÖ, with Zellot also switching to the FPK. Zellot is the city party leader of the Freedom Party in Villach.

From February 5, 2015 he was again a member of the Carinthian state parliament, as the successor to Hannes Anton .

Private

Roland Zellot is single and has no children. He lives in Villach.
