Rolando Colla (* 1957 in Schaffhausen ) is a Swiss filmmaker whose film Sommerspiele ( Giochi d'estate , 2011) was nominated by Switzerland as a candidate for an Oscar in the category Best Foreign Language Film in 2012 , but not nominated. Colla was born in 1957 as the son of Italian immigrants and studied at the University of Zurich . He began his career as an actor and screenwriter for films by his twin brother Fernando Colla . Colla lives and works in Zurich .
